With the very sad news in the last few days, that yet another pet food recall has been announced by a major pet food manufacturer, following the illness and deaths of some beloved pets, we would like to assure our customers, that our products do not contain any wheat or wheat gluten ingredients and have not been impacted in any way by the recall.
Our products are made in a facility that makes human food, and the grade of our ingredients meets human-food criteria. We do not use petfood-grade quality ingredients of any kind and the ingredients we do use, undergo rigorous testing and QC to ensure they are safe even for a human to eat. The only grains we use are Certified Organic, human grade oats, barley, rye and coming soon - Quinoa.
We also offer several completely grain-free and gluten-free pet food diets, for customers who would like to eliminate grain from their companions’ diets.

Can you tell us if you use Menu Foods at all, even if it is not the same facility?

We’re pleased to learn that you are taking the time to double-check the quality of the food your pets are trusting you to serve to them. Our foods are made in a human food facility in Los Angeles, not in a pet food plant. The facility makes breakfast cereals, bakery mixes and so on, and our products are under the same QC, inspection and FDA jurisdiction as these human foods. We are not able to disclose the name of the facility to the public for homeland security / food safety reasons but it has been disclosed to Nancy Kerns, editor of the Whole Dog Journal, to whom we gave a guided tour of the facility recently. I want to assure you that we are in no way related to Menu Foods at all.

HELP!
I am thinking of switching my dogs to Honest Kitchen.
I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how much I would need to buy each month for my two dogs.
Lucy is 40 lbs and Molly is 30 lbs. So…I would need enough for 70.
How many buckets would I need each month??
HELP! THANKS!! Raven
