From Austin to Boston for Canine Cancer

We were inspired recently by an email we received from Luke Robinson regarding an epic adventure he’s about to undertake with his two Great Pyrenees.

In just a week’s time, Luke will be embarking on a 2,000 mile hike with his two pups, Hudson & Murphy to raise money which will finance the first ever nationwide epidemiological canine cancer study. After losing one of his 4-legged best friend’s to Cancer, Luke was inspired to make a difference. Beyond finding a cure for the deadly disease, “the study has even more far reaching implications. Almost all types of cancer in pets are the same as those found in humans - and increasingly, dogs with cancers are being used as ideal models for research and drug development, benefiting not only pets but people, too.”

We’re proud to be supporting this amazing effort, by providing Honest Kitchen food to Hudson and Murphy for the duration of their walk. We’ll be following the trio’s progress and you keep you updated on their progress and whereabouts. If you’d like to support the Robinson’s, head over to 2 Dogs 2000 Miles for more information on how you can help!
